Madill XC Teams Run at Fort Washita; Softball Loses in Walkoff at Thackerville Tuesday

The Madill cross country teams ran in Silo meet at Fort Washita Tuesday. Complete official results will be posted soon.

The softball team lost 7-6 in the bottom of the seventh inning to Thackerville. McCage drove home the winning run from third on a single to left field. Madill trailed 2-0 going into the third inning before the Lady ‘Cats grab the lead with three runs in the frame. Thackerville then tied the contest 3-all. Madill responded by scoring three runs in the fifth inning. The Thackerville knotted the game 6-all in the sixth before the winning run came through in the final frame. Dahlia Marris went 2-for-4 and scored twice. Peyton Arnold, Maryn Mancini and Brooklyn Washington had a hit. Lauren Campbell scored two times. Washington and Arnold scored the other runs. Mancini fanned five in her pitching effort.
