Madill Scores Twice in Loss to Ada at ECU Friday

Madill scored twice in a 47-14 loss to Ada on the road Friday at East Central University. Ty Rushing completed a 13-yard TD pass to Rey Gomez who fought for the football in the front corner of the end zone in the first half to cut the Ada lead to 20-7. Later, Holden McGahey ran a four-yard TD in the second half.

Madill fell behind in the first series of the game when Ada returned a fumble 34 yards for a TD with 11:44 left in the first frame. The combination of quarterback Freeland to wide receiver Andrew Hughes netted three TDs for the Cougars. The loss drops Madill to 2-4 on the the year and 0-3 in district play. Madill hosts Fort Gibson Thursday at 7 p.m.
