The Madill girls led throughout in a 56-44 win over Tishomingo Friday on the road to start the season. Madill’s Ethan Wilkerson poured in 25 points as the Wildcats won 38-25 to conclude the evening in Johnston County.
The Lady Wildcats built a 14-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. They held a 21-20 edge at the half. The Lady ‘Cats tossed in 35 points to get the win. Allyson Knight had 15 points. Haylee Elkins had nine points, Luciana Douglass and Kenzie Mathis added seven points, Korlee Cunningham-Martin threw in eight points, Aubrie Cantrell had four points , and Leah McDaniel and Lexus Spanhanks closed with three points.
Tishomingo’s boys had a 7-5 edge at the end of the first frame. They took a 17-13 cushion into the half. The ‘Cats stretched it to a 27-18 advantage by the end of three quarters. RJ Morris had four points, Stephen Sisco had four points, Brylan James had two points as did River Shaw.
