Boys Maintain Unblemished Conference Mark Saturday, Claim Share of LCC; Girls Narrowly Defeated

The Madill boys basketball team remained unblemished in Lake Country Conference play with a 50-18 drubbing of Marietta Saturday in the Madill Event Center. The win assures the ‘Cats at least a share of the LCC crown this season. It is the second time Madill has at least a share of LCC since winning it in the 2019-20 campaign under head coach Brett Weiberg. Weiberg arrived in Madill in the spring of 2018. The current ‘Cats are 18-3 on the year with one game to play in the regular season.

The Lady Wildcats battled tough on the second night in a row Saturday, but fell just short of triumph in a 28-27 setback against Marietta. They had an opportunity to be victorious at buzzer.
