'Cats Capture Victory over No. 12 Catoosa; Tangle with Tuttle Part II Set Friday; Watch Game Friday

An eight-foot teardrop shot from RJ Morris with 1.6 seconds proved to be the game-winner in a 45-44 upset of No. 12 Catoosa Thursday night in Henryetta for the Madill boys basketball team in the area tournament. The victory advances the ‘Cats into a rematch with Tuttle at 3 p.m. on Friday.

Ethan Wilkerson pulled down the rebound on a missed free throw by Chris Brown as the Wildcats survived a foul at the midcourt line on a desparation pass by the Indians as time was expiring. The Wildcats stormed back from down 39-32 in the midst of the fourth quarter.

The Wildcats had a 20-19 edge at the half.
