The Madill football team lost 35-34 in double overtime to Kingston Friday.
A Jayme Lewis extra point proved to be the winning kick that punctuated the Redskins’ touchdown to conclude the second overtime and therefore the whole game.
A 10-yard run by Madill’s Harlem Holmes helped knot the game 21-all with 1:57 left in the fourth quarter. Holmes had already scampered for a 65-yard score earlier in the game.
A three-yard pass to Miguel Fajardo from Eli Vinson tied the game again at 28-all in the first overtime with the Uziel Flores point after. Vinson scored from a yard out to put Madill up, 34-28. However, Madill’s two-point conversion pass failed after setting up to kick the extra point. Reid Patterson plunged in from a yard away to tie the contest 34-all before the winning kick.
