A 49-yard touchdown pass to senior Uziel Flores from Baylor Bond was all the offensive production Madill could manage against Kingston Friday as the season opened for the football squad Friday with a 35-7 loss to the Redskins.
The Wildcats evened the score on the reception from Flores on the first play of the second quarter. Kingston blocked a Moises Bautista field goal attempt late in the second frame to hold a 13-7 advantage at the half.
The ‘Skins opened the margin wider in the second half. They added 22 points in the last half all while shutting down the ‘Cats’ attack.
Madill travels to Marietta Sept. 6.
