Yadira Barbosa follows up her all-state performance at the Class 4A OSSAA state cross country meet by testing her skills in the Oklahoma-Arkansas All-Star Meet Saturday at Broken Arrow. The girls run at 11:30 a.m. at Oneta Ridge Middle School.
Barbosa shined all season for the Lady Wildcats and finished fifth at the state meet Nov. 2 in Edmond. She advanced to the state meet as the regional runner-up. She reached the runner-up spot at the Lkae Country Conference meet in Madill Oct. 12. She claimed the individual championship in the OBU meet Oct. 3. She won the meet at McLoud Sept. 28. She took the individual crown at the Waurika meet Sept. 14. She secured sixth place in the East Central University meet Sept. 5 and was runner-up in the ‘Cat Run in Madill Aug. 31. She began the year by securing silver in the Marietta meet Aug. 24.
