Barbosa Tests Skills in XC All-Star Meet, Finishes 21st Nov. 16 Among Oklahoma, Arkansas Runners

Madill cross country junior Yadira Barbosa followed up her all-state fifth-place performance at the OSSAA Class 4A state cross country meet by testing her skills in the Oklahoma-Arkansas All-Star meet at Broken Arrow Nov. 16. She finished 21st.

Barbosa advanced to the state meet as the regional runner-up. She reached the runner-up spot at the Lake Country Conference meet in Madill Oct. 12. She claimed the individual championship in the OBU meet Oct. 3. She won the meet at McLoud Sept. 28. She took the individual crown at the Waurika meet Sept. 14. She secured sixth place in the East Central University meet Sept. 5 and was runner-up in the ‘Cat Run in Madill Aug. 31. She began the year by securing silver in the Marietta meet Aug. 24.
