Sadie Stumblingbear kicked both Madill goals in a 2-0 win for the Lady Wildcats via shutout on Tuesday in a district clash with Cleveland in soccer. Fransisco Perez collected three goals and Dylan Ortiz booted two for the ‘Cats’ district triumph over the Cleveland Tigers 7-1 at Blake Smiley Stadium. Yovanny Robles and Rodrigo Villegas each added one goal for the Wildcats. Madill built a 3-1 lead by halftime and cruised in the second frame while adding four more insurance goals. Jimena Guevara recorded the shutout in goal for the girls. Elmer Zavala turned away all but one shot as the Wildcats’ netminder.
Madill softball narrowly lost 11-10 to Byng on the road Tuesday and suffered an 18-4 setback to Sulphur. The Lady ‘Cats had seven hits and scored multiple runs in two consecutive innings to begin the game against Sulphur. The Lady ‘Cats plated runs in the last five consecutive innings against the Lady Pirates while hammering out 18 hits. Emily Austin tossed in three RBI while going 3-for-4 at the dish. Emilie Johnson had three hits and drove in two runs. Emily Arnold was 3-for-4 at the plate and scored twice. Aubrie Cantrell, Jaeda Townsend, Coleman, Dahlia Marris, and Lauren Campbell contributed two hits.
Madill’s baseball team fell 14-2 to Lone Grove in a district Contest.
