The Madill girls track team won the overall championship for small schools in the Oklahoma Baptist University high school track meet Tuesday. The Lady ‘Cats collected 70 points and were 23.5 points ahead of runner-up Stroud with 46.5.

Madill’s girls track won gold in several events and medaled in a plethora of areas. Freshman Kaytleigh Davis won the 200-meter dash in 26.26 seconds. Davis grabbed gold in the 800-meter relay with teammates Lexus Spanhanks, Joslyn Stumblingbear, and Hannah Elkins in a time of 1:53.28. The 3200-meter relay squad of Korlee Cunningham-Martin, Esperanza Hernandez, Carol Moreno and Isabel Sanchez were golden in a time of 10:56.10. Cunningham-Martin won the girls 800-meter run with her time of 2:30.87. The girls 1600-meter relay group of Davis, Cunningham-Martin, Stumblingbear and Elkins just missed out on the gold, but secured the silver in a combined time of 4:18.45.Sanchez was a silver medalist in the 1600-meter run and earned bronze in the 3200-meter run.
Jorge Martinez earned third in shot put with a toss of 46’8.5”. Tyce Pruitt finished fourth in discus. Anthony Sanchez was fourth in the boys 800-meter run and fifth in the 1600-meter run. The Madill boys finished 10th overall
