Madill’s Caden McHatton pushed across four runs to score but it wasn’t enough in a 7-6 loss for the baseball ‘Cats to Sulphur on the road Wednesday.
With the ‘Cats down 7-3 to begin the top of the seventh, Jackson Roberts led off with a double. Sulphur recorded two consecutve outs. Then, Cash Coble drove in Roberts on his double to center. Stephen Sisco singled to left. McHatton doubled to center to score Coble and Sisco. However, that was all the runs for the ‘Cats on the afternoon and suffered the setback to the ‘Dogs.
Both Madill and Sulphur ended up with seven hits on the day. McHatton finished with two hits. Robertson collected one hit and scored. River Shaw had a hit and an RBI. Valadez also added a hit. Ty Rushing scored a run as did Valadez. Sisco struck out five ‘Dogs in his six innings of work on the mound.
