Softball Squad Wins Three in Local Festival Friday; Soccer Boys Win, Girls Fall; Girls 5th in Track

A three-run blast by Emily Austin and a solo homer by Jaeda Townsend highlighted a 16-8 win over Thackerville on Friday to wrap up the Madill Festival on Tom Reynolds Field. It also marked the first victory over Thackerville in three tries for Madill in 2022.

The Madill team has built a four-game winning streak on the the strength of two wins Friday morning and one triumph Thursday. Madill defeated Dickson 14-0 and Mill Creek 16-2 to begin the day.

The boys soccer team won 4-2 against Chickasha Friday. Fransisco Perez booted two goals. Dilian Ortiz and Rodrigo Villegas each collected one goal apiece. Madill’s girls lost 2-1. Sadie Stumblingbear netted the goal for the Lady ‘Cats.

 

The Madill girls track team finished fifth overall as a team competing in the meet in Plainview Friday. The boys were 12th. Click Here for Complete Official Results

Madill’s softball team plays in the district playoffs April 21 at Plainview with Dickson. Madill will face Dickson at 11 a.m. Click for Bracket from OSSAA
