Wildcat Weekend: Military, First Responders Appreciation; XC, Softball Action Planned; Follow Links

Friday, the Madill football team will honor military members and first reponders at the Dickson game at 7 p.m. Plans include making the chief of police, fire department chief, Marshall County sheriff and emergency management coordinator honorary captains for the REA Electric coin toss at midfield. Madill Schools understands that without the sacrifice of those brave men and women, it would be impossible to sustain our communty and the activities we have the freedom to enjoy.

The softball teams heads to Aoka at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and hosts Marietta at 11 a.m. Saturday. One may follow the progress and summary of the game on Madill’s Gamechanger click here

The ninth grade football team will play a game against Kingston at 6 p.m. Thursday in a rescheduled contest from earlier this season.

The football team has its’ last football game against the Dickson Comets Sept. 9 at 7 p.m. inside Blake Smiley Stadium before a bye week Sept. 16  The game will be streaming live on Madill Hudl Channel on Youtube click here. Madill leads the Madill-Dickson series 35-11 since 1974. The Wildcats won 11 straight from 1974 to 1984. That span includes eight shutouts. The Wildcats are currently on a winning streak of four games that involves the win last season. Dickson last defeated the ‘Cats in 2017.
