Several Madill Schools students gathered below the flag pole on Alumni Field at Blake Smiley Stadium to recognize the See You at the Pole event annually held in September at public schools across the nation. The student-driven event is designed for students to pray together for issues pertinent to them and the community.
“See You at the Pole is important because you can lead people to get closer to God by praying and just simply letting people know you can pray anytime and anywhere,” Madill freshman Raelee Combs said Wednesday morning.
Madill High School students led small groups. Savannah Martin and Lindsey McDermott provided doughnuts for the students that attended this morning at 7:21 before the school day began.
The See You at the Pole movement began in September of 1990 by a group of students in Burleson, Texas. Click Here to Find out More about the History
