Madill Vocalists Advancing to State; Band Performs Well in District Solo, Ensemble Contest

Vocal Music:

 

Madill Vocal Music had a very successful day at OSSAA District Solo and Ensemble Contest in Ada.  We had 17 entries in the competition.  We brought home 8 Superior Ratings (1's), and 9 Excellent ratings (2's)!! We have 3 entries advancing to State Solo and Ensemble Contest in Mid April including Soloists Abby Zang and Jose Chacon, and the high school mixed ensemble, with members Esperanza Hernandez, Abby Zang, Evelyn Munoz-Perez, Kaylee Phillips, Florydalia Valeriano, Heriberto Martinez, and Jose Chacon!

 

 

Band: 

 

Madill Band students had a very successful day at OSSAA District Solo and Ensemble Contest Saturday, in Durant.  We had 17 entries that performed, 11 receiving Superior Ratings (1's) and 6 Excellent Ratings (2's). Of those entries 2 of the Superior (Matthew Glenn and Kaleb Cox) and 4 of the excellent ratings (Elise Reddish, Ivan Moreno, Anthony Moreno, Isaac McGee) were earned by Middle School Band Students!!!!

 

 We have 9 entries advancing to State Solo and Ensemble in Mid April including:

Soloists: Armando Gonzalez, Kevin Rivera, Michael Hoedebeck, Emmaleigh Whitaker, Joshua Groeber, Luke Hamilton, and Kaylee Phillips.  The ensembles passing to state include the percussion ensemble: Maryn Mancini, Yazmin Guevara, Hailey Salmon, Jastiny Hale, and Jose Chacon, and the High School Mixed Ensemble including: Maryn Mancini, Sandler King, Emmaleigh Whitaker, Ben Perkins, Michael Hoedebeck, Thomas Reddish, Joshua Groeber, Luke Hamilton, Ethan Marston and Austin Ly.
