Local educational peers voted Madill High School librarian Wynne Stowers the district teacher of the year last week. She was announced as the winner tonight at the homecoming basketball game. Other site teachers were recognized. Those included Courtney Hoedebeck, Terri Miller and Charlotte Mapp.
A staff vote from each of the Madill sites selected a campus teacher of the year. A second peer vote determined to the overall district teacher of the year.
Stowers received a plaque from superintendent Victor Salcedo and Madill School Board president Mike Mathis.
