Perkins Earns Texoma Excellence in Fine Arts Scholarship

We are delighted to honor Ben Perkins with a $1,000 scholarship for his outstanding achievements as our Texoma Excellence in Fine Arts Scholarship winner.

Ben’s journey in Speech and Theatre began in his freshman year, and he has emerged as a remarkable leader and performer. As a Speech Captain, he has inspired his peers and made five trips to the State competition, earning multiple OSSAA State medals in various categories.

What truly distinguishes Ben is his commitment. He memorizes over 100 pages of material and 15-25 songs each year. As a senior, he will surpass 400 dedicated hours of theatre work this year, and he ranks in the Top 10% of his graduating class. His varied roles—from Jud Fry in Oklahoma! to Kenickie in Grease and soon Shrek—demonstrate his talent and versatility. Additionally, Ben contributes significantly to our community through his participation in the dinner theatre partnership with the Rotary Club, helping to raise funds for local scholarships.
