Red Ribbon Week Continues on Halloween

Red Ribbon Week at Madill continues on Halloween. Several students could be seen in Halloween costumes Thursday as part of Red Ribbon Week. It’s a national emphasis focused on encouraging students to live a life free of drugs. All through the week, students have been dressed for theme days as determined by the Students Against Destructive Decisions group led by advisor Kelly Goff. Students received prizes, as well.

SADD was begun at Madill High School by former English teacher and principal Cindy Dodds following the death of then MHS student Nikki Jones in an alcohol-related auto accident in January of 1990.
