In the first game of Class 4A football, Madill fell to Cushing 40-13 Saturday night at Blake Smiley Stadium.
The Tigers’ Landon Kimmel scored on a one-yard touchdown run with 3:03 left in the first quarter. Then Harrison Wood hauled in a 66-yard TD pass from Trevor Ailey to give the Cushing club a 14-0 advantage. The Tigers’ Ailey took in another score on a five-yard run with 8:15 to go in the first half. Wood took in a 33-yard pass from Wil Moyer at the 7:26 mark of the second period. Ailey scored on a 15-yard TD jaunt with 7:15 to go in the third. Asa Robertson got Madill on the board with a one-yard run with 3:24 to go in the third. Mateo Fajardo added the extra point. Champ Wright ended the scoring for the Tigers with a 27-yard run with three minutes left. Robertson hit Fajardo with an 18-yard pass for a TD with 9:18 left in the game to close the scoring.
