The Madill High School student council is presented a blood drive Oct. 4 conducted by the Oklahoma Blood Institute in the high school library. The drive brought in 67 units.

A unit of blood saves an average of three lives.

“To save people’s lives,” Madill senior Morgan Shirley said is why she chose to donate blood Thursday.

Donors received refreshments and a choice of an OU or OSU shirt. High school students have the opportunity to earn an honor chord for graduation if they make six contributions

Molly Raley is now the student council sponsor. She teaches English for freshmen at MHS.
