Asa Robertson scored five times as the Wildcats came from behind to defeat McLoud 41-35 Thursday at Blake Smiley Stadium. The defense got the final stop as Moises Ibarra and Colt Crowson pressured the Redskins’ quarterback on fourth down after Robertson’s one-yard touchdown plunge gave Madill the lead with 1:43 left in the game. Mateo Fajardo got the two-point conversion to stretch it to the six-point advantage for the home team,
Bret McDaniel’s interception of a Koalton Keller pass with 4:41 remaining in the fourth set the ‘Cats up for the go-ahead drive. The ‘Cats’ D had a role throughout the victory as Cody Tweety and Kendall Robertson were in on fumble recoveries. Asa Robertson also intercepted a McLoud pass from his defensive back position.
