Hundreds of students and teachers at Madill honored military veterans Monday morning at the Wildcat Fieldhouse with a Veterans Day program.
“They risked their lives for our freedom,” Madill High School student Hayli Hunt said.
The speech team highlighted the meaning of music throughout wartime history in America. They also recited the Gettysburg Address.
The choir sang and the band played patriotic tunes.
Uziel Aviles claimed first place in a Veterans Day essay contest. Griffon Williams secured second place and Case Coble earned third.
