Madill Collides with LCC Foe Comets at Winter Classic Friday; Boys Win, Girls Fall; Watch on Demand

The Madill boys basketball team took on the Lake Country Conference foe Dickson Comets in the consolation bracket Friday and emerged with a 49-34 victory. It was the first of the early season under new head coach Bret Weiberg. Both teams played to a 10-all tie after the first frame. The ‘Cats clawed to a 25-18 by halftime. Seventeen points in the final stanza guided the Wildcats to the win.

Madill boys individual scoring: Luke Magness 2, Diego Flores 7, Aron Vann 3, Wyatt Gray 3, Austin Maxey 13, Justin Gillis 1, Miguel Duran 10, Trent Harvey 10.

The Lady ‘Cats fell 67-35 to the Lady Comets.
