'Cats Climb Over Cougars for Wrestling Dual Victory Tuesday in Ada; Watch on Demand

Madill managed three consecutive pins in the final three matches against the Ada Cougars to take a 44-32 come-from-behind win Tuesday night in the district wrestling dual. The Wildcats moved to 9-1 in duals this season.

Griffon Williams put the cap on the night in the heavyweight bout with his pin in the final match. That was after Moises Ibarra pinned his opponent in the 220-pound match. Coty Tweedy’s win by pin evened the match at 26-all.

Isaac Eades, Dylan McCullough and Colt Crowson also won by pin for the ‘Cats. Keon Christie won his match 27-12 and Wylbie Roberts got a 13-6 victory for the Wildcats in his match.

Madill competes in a dual tournament in Flowermound, Texas Jan. 11.

Michelle Hernandez, Ella Watts, Mayely Trujillo, and Gracie Jaggars are the wrestling homecoming queen candidates for Jan. 15. Honor escorts are Colt Crowson, Keon Christie, Isaac Eades, Moises Ibarra and Damian Ramirez.
