The No. 3 Cache Bulldogs won the battle of top-ten wrestling squads in a district dual against the Wildcats Thursday night. The No. 10 ‘Cats gave great effort in front of a rockin’ crowd inside the Madill Middle School gym. However, the Bulldogs won the dual 47-15.
Isaac Eades’ two points at the buzzer in his 126-pound bout gave him a 4-3 win and granted Madill its first team points. The score stood 15-3 in favor of Cache.
Dylan McCullough pinned his opponent in the 138-pound class to close the gap to 21-9.
Jon Venable made his return to the mat a favorable one as he won his 170-pound tussle 10-5.
Coty Tweedy won a tough fight in the 195-pound class 5-2. Griffon Williams was edged out in his heavyweight match 3-2.
