Williams Tops Podium at Regional as Heavyweight Champ, Four Others to Join Him at State

Griffon Williams earned the individual regional heavyweight championship on the mat Saturday in Newcastle. He is now joined by Colt Crowson, Damian Ramirez, Coty Tweedy and Dylan McCullough as state  qualifiers through the Class 4A west region.

Crowson finished as runner-up at 160. McCullough finished fourth at 138.  Ramirez emerged as fifth place at 145. Coty Tweedy wrapped regional fifth at 195  The state wrestling tournament will be Feb. 22-23 in Oklahoma City.
