The Madill baseball team scored three runs in the third and four runs in the fourth inning Thursday to help clinch an 11-3 win at Dickson on Thursday evening. Senior pitcher Ethan Nixon struck out eight and only allowed four hits in the victory. He also went 3-for-4 at the plate. Case Coble went 3-for-4 from the dish and added an RBI on the day. Bret McDaniel went 2-for-4 with a double and three runs batted in against the Comets. Coble scored three runs on the day. Wylbie Roberts, Isaac Eades and McDaniel scored two runs for the ‘Cats Thursday.

The Madill boys golf team took the overall team championship at the Lone Grove tournament at Lake Murray with a combined round of 375 Thursday. Britton Goss led the way for the ‘Cats with a 92 on the day. Jacob Massey turned in a round of 93. Casey Jones carded a 94, Ezekiel Fuentes shot a 96 and Ian Zang completed the course with a 110.
A second Madill team finished the day with a combined round of 429. Gavin Anderson shot a 98, Braelen Bridenstine shot a 103, Asa Robertson finished with a 111 and Riggin Melton turned in a score of 117.
