Boys Soccer Club Handles Harrah Tuesday to Claim District Championship; Girls Drop Match

SoccerThe Madill boys soccer squad handed Harrah a 7-3 loss on the road Tuesday night to win the Class 4A-3 district championship.

One regular season match remains for the ‘Cats Friday at OKC-Centennial, but the district title has been secured with the victory Tuesday.

Fransisco Perez kicked three goals to help lift the ‘Cats to the win. Saul Salinas, Isaac Martinez, Juan Hernandez and Diego Ibarra each had one goal for Madill.

“I’m very proud of the effort and dedication of our soccer team,” Madill soccer head coach Jose Cortes said Tuesday night following the win. “Playoffs, here we come!”

However, the Madill girls lost to Harrah 5-0. Cortes said the girls played their best game, but Harrah is the real deal and a very good team.
