'Cats Cash in with Shutout of Bulldogs to March to Third Round of Soccer Playoffs; Watch Game

Madill senior Saul Salinas salted the second-round playoff win away for the soccer team with his breakaway goal at the 1:11 mark of the second half. Madill marches to the third round with a 3-0 victory over the Cache Bulldogs Monday night at Blake Smiley Stadium. 

Goalie Ulysses Camacho turned back all shots on goal from the Bulldogs. 

Freshman Fransisco Perez continued his torrid scoring streak. Perez scored a goal in the first half and the second frame for Madill. His first came at the 35:06 mark of the opening stanza as he went low to the left side of the net. His second was at the 27:09 mark as he buried a shot in the back of the net with the goalie out of position.

The quarterfinal round is set for Friday at Blake Smiley Stadium.

Madill is to meet the Woodward-Crooked Oak victor.
