Boys 3200-Meter Relay Reaches Runners-Up Spot at State Friday; Others Medal Saturday for 'Cats

The Madill boys 4x800-meter relay team of Diego Ibarra, Miguel Duran, Keon Christie and Brodie Tull ran to the state runners-up spot in the 4A meet in Catoosa Friday afternoon in the time of 8:16.97. The boys team completed the 2019 campaign 10th overall at the state meet.

The ‘Cats finished the year strong Saturday. Miguel Duran finished fourth in the 1600-meter run, Dylan Parnacher ran to fifth in the 400-meter run, Valeria Calderon wrapped up sixth in the 3200-meter run and the 4x400-meter relay of Brandon Serrano, Parnacher, Ibarra and Duran was sixth.

Duran and Ibarra both posted their personal best times at state in the 800-meter run and 1600-meter run. The girls 4x400-meter relay posted its’ best time of the season at state.
