Wildcats Edged out of Soccer Playoffs by Crooked Oak Saturday; Watch on Demand

A sliding Juan RoDarte nudged the soccer ball into the net with 5:50 left in the match to give Crooked Oak a 2-1 advantage in the second half of the Class 4A soccer playoff match Saturday at Blake Smiley Stadium. The Ruf-Nex made that goal hold up and Crooked Oak won the match. Freshman Fransisco Perez chipped the soccer ball over the head of the Crooked Oak keeper at the 28:16 mark of the last half to tie the match at 1-all for Madill.

Crooked Oak got the first goal of the contest from RoDarte with 19:03 in the first frame and carried the 1-0 lead into the locker room at intermission.

The 2019 year has ended for the ‘Cats with a 12-4 mark under coach Jose Cortes.
