Madill Softball Club Falls Twice at Lone Grove Tuesday

The Madill softball team lost 12-0 and 11-1 to Lone Grove Tuesday on the road. 

Emilie Johnson scored Madill’s only run of the afternoon in the first inning of the second game. Abbey Tiernan added the RBI as she went 1-for-2 at the plate. The Lady ‘Cats held the early advantage. However, Lone Grove broke the contest open with six runs in the fourth for victory

Makenzie Reed struck out two batters in the first game of the day. 

Lone Grove scored six runs in the first to open game one and finished the win in three innings.

Madill next plays at noon on Thursday in the Calera tournament.

The Madill junior high team kept pace with Lone Grove, but eventually fell 14-0 to the Lady Longhorns.
