Bonfire Planned for Community Rally Tuesday Night

There will be a community pep rally with a bonfire at 7:15 p.m. on Sept. 3 at Madill City Lake.

The rally will feature the marching band, cheerleaders, coaches and football players.

Madill’s varsity football team kicks off the regular season at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 at Sulphur.

This is the second year for the Wildcats under head coach Todd Vargas. Vargas most recently came from serving as the head coach at Altus. He was the defensive coordinator when the Altus club claimed the 2015 Class 5A state championship. A synthetic field turf will be installed at Alumni Field at Blake Smiley Stadium for the 2019 season.
