Furious Comeback Attempt Falls Short in Softball Thursday; Lady 'Cats Lose at Plainview

A furious comeback attempt that plated three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning fell just short for Madill Thursday at Plainview. They lost the contest 8-5. In game one, Madill lost 3-1.

Ximena Gomez singled in the seventh inning of game two that drove in Krislyn Anderson for the Lady ‘Cats third run after reaching base on a hit by pitch. An Emilie Johnson single to right scored Jaeda Towsend who drew a walk. Gomez came home, as well. Johnson was 2-for-3 in game two with three RBI.

Peyton Ardmold added an RBI while going 1-for-3 at the plate in game two. Abbey Tiernan also was 1-for-3 from the plate. McKenzie Reed scored a run.

The Madill run in game one came in the seventh frame. Arnold reached first on a ground ball and Mia Beason scored for Madill.
