Voters Approve Bond Issue to Build Event Center

Madill School District voters approved the bond issue Tuesday to construct a 51,500 square-foot event center that will house three STEM classes and a gymnasium.

It was approved with 73.97 percent of the 853 total votes in the affirmative. No votes were 26.03 percent of the votes cast in the election

Results are unofficial until Friday (Sept. 13 ) when they become certified.

“Approving this bond issue for construction of the event center is tremendous for our students,” Madill athletics director Bink Stafford said on Tuesday night. “The event center will positively impact our school and community. Our students deserve it.”
