Jorge Martinez got Madill on the scoreboard with his touchdown run in the second half Friday night. However, the Cushing Tigers proved to be a tough oppponent in the Wildcats’ 53-6 loss on the road.
Cushing built a 20-0 lead by the end of the first quarter and doubled the score by halftime.
Martinez got to paydirt in the fourth frame from two yards out to keep the ‘Cats from being shut out.
John Venable had 73 yards rushing in the game for Madill to lead in that department.
The ‘Cats suffered four turnovers.
Madill meets defending state champ Tuttle Oct. 4 at Blake Smiley Stadium.
