Madill’s defense shut out Harrah for three quarters as the Wildcats clinched their first district win of 2019 by beating the Panthers 36-6 on the road Friday.
Senior Mateo Fajardo scored once on the ground and once via the pass for Madill.
Asa Robertson put Madill ahead with his 17-yard touchdown run with 1:53 left in the first frame. John Venable added the two-point conversion. The ‘Cats led 8-0 and never looked back Friday.
Trey Gammill’s two-yard run stretched Madill’s cushion to 15-0 with 2:15 left in the half. Then Robertson found Fajardo open down the seam and completed a 28-yard TD pass with 21 seconds to go before intermission.
Kendall Robertson added an 11-yard TD jaunt to widen Madill’s lead to 29-0 by the end of the third quarter. Fajardo scored on a 37-yard run in the fourth frame before the Panthers got on the board with a 35-yard run by Damian Cooper.
Yovanny Robles and Gammill each collected an interception for the dominant Wildcats defense.
Madill plays Blanchard Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at home.
