RJ Morris concentrated intensely to grab a pass away from his Dickson defender at the goal line for a 32-yard touchdown reception from Ty Rushing to extend the ninth grade football team’s lead to 30-0 in the waining moments of the second quarter during the season finale for the Madill junior high clubs.
The ‘Cats eventually won the game to down Dickson 36-0.
Sammy Trevino opened the scoring with a 46-yard TD scamper for the Wildcats. Morris caught a picture-perfect pass from Rushing on a post pattern in the first half for a score.
The seventh grade successfully executed a two-minute drive that concluded with a Leo Martinez TD as Madill regained the 14-6 advantage. The ‘Cats’ defense held Dickson on a desparation drive, culminating with a tackle from Isaac Grimaldo.
The junior high schedule concluded Monday.
