Madill Football Team, Cheer Squad to Hand out Candy on Halloween at Blake Smiley Stadium

Do you remember the ‘Ghost to the Post’ play made famous when Dave Casper hauled in the 42-yard touchdown pass from Ken Stabler in the 1977 playoffs? Well, the Madill football team is not recreating that, but it will offer the opportunity for kids in the community to haul some candy away on Halloween night at Blake Smiley Stadium.

The gridiron group is joining forces with the Madill High School cheer squad to give kids and parents a fun and safe environment to collect candy from 5-6 p.m. this Thursday.

So, all the ‘ghosts’ are encouraged to stop by, meet some players and cheerleaders and get candy. This is the second consecutive year for this community outreach event.
