Madill has enjoyed major success in its’ cross country program in 2019. The high school girls team earned a runners-up finish at the Class 4A state meet in Shawnee Oct. 26. The high school boys took third overall and made the podium at Gordon Cooper Tech Center. Valeria Calderon was fourth as an individual as was Miguel Duran for the ‘Cats. Each high school team won the regional championship in Waurika. Duran was the individual regional champ. Calderon was regional runner up for the girls.
The junior high girls group took home the state championship Oct. 17 in Chickasha and the boys team finished as the state runner up. Head coach Cale Eidson discussed the season on Wednesday. Click here to watch that conversation on video
