Basketball, Wrestling Beginning This Week for Madill on Dec. 3; Winter Classic, Thrill in Madill

Wrestling and basketball season will get underway Dec. 3 for Madill. The wrestlers travel to McLoud for a dual on Tuesday night. The junior high matches start at 6 p.m. with the high school matches concluding the evening.

The Thrill in Madill dual tournament is on Friday (Dec. 6) in the middle school gym. The first dual begins at 11 a.m. and is expected to conclude about 6 p.m. Teams in the dual tournament include Madill, Ardmore, Durant, Noble and Marcus.

The basketball clubs host Antlers Tuesday. The girls game begins at 6:30 p.m. The Winter Classic tournament is set for Dec. 5-7 in the Wildcat Fieldhouse (high school gym). Games begin at noon each day. Madill’s girls play at 6 each night followed by the Wildcats at 7:30. Madill faces Putnam Heights on Thursday and Marietta on Friday. The girls meet Pilot Point Saturday and the boys face Ardmore JV.

Madill will be out of school on Friday (Dec. 6).
