Free Throw Line Kind to 'Cats in Win over Pilot Point, Girls Fall to Comets; Watch on Demand

Asa Robertson sank a free throw with two seconds left to give Madill a 53-52 edge over Pilot Point in semifinals Friday in the Ronnie Moore Invitational Basketball tournament in Marietta. A tipped pass by Aron Vann and a steal from Ezekiel Fuentes at midcourt sealed the win and moved the boys into the championship game set for Dec. 21 at 8:30 p.m.

The girls lost 64-51 to Dickson. The Lady ‘Cats play tomorrow at 4 p.m. for third place.

Jayden Weiberg led the way with her 21 points in the girls game. 

Miguel Duran had 16 points in the victory and Asa Robertson finished with 11 points in the game for the boys.
