'Cats Finish Fifth overall in Pauls Valley Tournament Saturday; Homecoming Jan. 14, Stream Planned

The Madill High School wrestling team finished fifth overall in the Pauls Valley tournament Jan. 10-11. The ‘Cats placed seven wrestlers. Griffon Williams and John Venable were runners up in their division. Coty Tweedy earned third place. Chris Bennett and Coby Sandefur were fourth. Elijah Connely was fifth and Wylbe Roberts wrapped up sixth place.

The junior high finished seventh. Juan Medina was a runner up. Colton Sandefur finished fourth. Adan Yanez finished fifth. Jaton Lytle and Jose Menchaca were sixth.

The homecoming match is Jan. 14 against Newcastle. Junior high matches begin at 6 p.m. with the coronation ceremony beginning about 7 p.m. and then the high school matches will conclude the evening.
