Boys Soccer Team Tames Lions, Lady Wildcats Lose on Penalty Kicks to Durant Tuesday

The Madill boys soccer team won 4-2 on the road against Durant Tuesday. The Lady Wildcats lost to the Lady Lions on penalty kicks.

Samantha Dominguez hit a 35-yard free kick with six minutes left in the game for the Lady ‘Cats to grab a 1-0 advantage. Durant evened the match with 1:01 left.

Cielo Gomez made a penalty kick for Madill’s girls, but it was not enough to get the eventual victory

A penalty kick from Diego Ibarra was the first score for the Madill boys. The second goal was from Fransisco Perez and Madill held the 2-0 edge at the half.

Perez scored his second goal in the 28^th minute of the second half. Durant responded with two goals in the following 10 minutes to close the gap to 3-2. Luis Hernandez got the insurance goal with two minutes left in the match Tuesday night.
