The Madill Wildcats walked away 42-14 winners against Marietta Friday night on the road in the last non-district game of the season. Kendall Robertson threw four touchdown passes in the victory. The ‘Cats built a 28-0 lead by halftime. Ty Rushing put Madill on the board on his 26-yard TD reception at the 5:29 mark of the opening frame. Hunter Clevenger’s run gave Madill a 14-0 advantage with 2:45 to go in the first. Robertson connected with Nick Northcutt and Stephen Sisco in the second quarter to push Madill’s lead to 28-0 by the half.
No team score in the third period. Holden McGahey and Mason Coles scored for the Wildcats in the fourth quarter. The ‘Cats defense surrendered a mere 184 yards to the Indians.
Madill has a bye Sept. 18 before opening district play at Dickson Sept. 25.
