Wildcat Weekend: Football Squad Plays at Plainview; Cross Country Heads to Waurika, Links to Watch

The Madill football team travels to Plainview Friday (Oct. 9) for a 7 p.m. kickoff against the Indians in District 3A-2 action. The Wildcats (2-3, 1-1) are coming off a loss to the Bulldogs last Friday. Plainview (1-4, 1-1) picked up its’ first victory of the season by beating Dickson 48-7 last week. Losses for the Indians include Pilot Point (TX), Tuttle, Cache, and Kingston.

Madill’s most recent victory over Plainview was a 21-20 win in 2015 in district play.

The cross country teams are back in action at Waurika Saturday. Both the boys and girls teams are ranked No. 8 in Class 4A by OHSTrack. They last ran in the pre-state meet at Edmond Santa Fe Sept. 26 in which the girls were eighth overall and the boys finished ninth.
