The Madill boys basketball team controlled the consolation final contest for a majority of the afternoon and cruised to a 58-39 win against Rock creek to take fifth place in the Konawa Invitational on Saturday. Senior Miguel Duran led the way with 22 points. The ‘Cats ran out to a 17-8 advantage after the first quarter and kept a 34-19 lead at the halftime break. Ezekiel Fuentes pitched in 16 points in the win over the Mustangs.

Friday
The Madill boys scored a 52-31 victory over Holdenville Friday to advance to the consolation final at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Thursday
The Madill varsity boys fell 63-46 to Wewoka in the opening round of the Konawa basketball tournament on Thursday. They play Friday at 2:30 p.m.

The Madill junior varsity squad lost 68-31 to Destiny Christian Thursday and will play at 10 a.m. Friday.
