Williams Collects Scholarship for A+ Recognition

Joel Northcutt from Tishomingo Chevrolet and Texoma Chevy Dealers presented a $1000 scholarship to Griffon Williams for being their A+ Athlete of the Week. The check was presented in the media center at the Madill High School this afternoon in front of Griffons parents along with some of his coaches and school administrators.

Griffon is a 3-sport athlete including track, football and wrestling. He throws for the track & field team. He is a four year starter on the offensive line for the Wildcats football team. He was named first team all-district and preseason all-state in football. Griffon really stands out on the wrestling mat! He won the regional championship in 2019 and finished 4th at the state meet. 

Griffon has learned more from athletics than just how to compete. He is very disciplined, he has an excellent work ethic, and his dedication helps him strive to get better every day!

In the classroom, Griffon continues to compete at a high level. He has a 4.27 GPA, making him one of the top ten students in his class. Griff is also in the National Honor Society and student council. Striving to make good grades is another important part of this A+ Athlete's life.

When he is not in school, Griffon volunteers with the church youth group and helps with the little league wrestling team. 

All of this is why Griffon Williams is the Texoma Chevy Dealers A+ Athlete of the Week!
