Madill Fishing Club Presents Fundraising Tourney at Lake Texoma May 8

The recently formed Madill High School Fishing Club presents a fundraising tournament at Lake Texoma on May 8. They will launch from Willow Springs Boat Ramp at 6:30 a.m. in a two-person team format which includes one student and one adult.

“It’s just a fun fundraiser for our fishing club,” orgainizer Shelly Hamilton said. “But it is also an opportunity for kids to come out and see what a tournament is like just to watch the weigh-in and stuff. It is fun and exciting.”

Hamilton also said the weigh-in is at 3 p.m. at Willow Springs Boat Ramp.

“So we welcome all just to kind of experience the event,” Hamilton said.

Hamilton is the daughter of former Madill Schools educators Jimmy Ward and the late Pat Ward.
